Our adventures to Puerto Vallarta introduced us to a Classic Margarita. No longer would any premix Margarita suffice. Once you go fresh you can’t go back to store bought. Living in Southern California, although we have access to many restaurants that serve Margaritas, I find my self becoming some sort of connoisseur and critiquing each one and the consensus is the same… they are not worth it.
When it comes to serving drinks for your party, I suggest a nice homemade yet very simple recipe that will leave your guests satisfied, your budget happy, and your party a success.
I personally recommend using Costco’s Kirkland Silver Tequila. The quality is great and the quantity even greater. To that I add Triple Sec, Fresh Squeezed Limes, and Simple Syrup. On occasion I will add fresh lemon in addition to the lime. Limes do not squeeze out a lot of juice and for the sake of time, Lemons are great and add a little more of the natural sweetness. When it comes to Simple Syrup, I like to make my own. Click here for the recipe.
