Homemade treats already grab my attention. They taste fresher and are made with love. These cookies are sure to be a great hit with your guests. It’s also a great treat to put in a cookie tin and gift your loved ones. Chocolate Chip Cookies are already classic. Imagine how much more satisfying they are with both Chocolate Chips and M&Ms.

The ingredients are very simple, and this recipe has been perfected to be reduced-guilt. For starters, we substitute the white granulated sugar for our secret ingredient: Organic Cane Sugar. For the brown sugar we opt for the light variety. The flour is Unbleached from King Arthur Baking Company. Here are the ingredients you will need:

  • Unsalted Butter
  • Light Brown Sugar
  • Organic Cane Sugar
  • Vanilla
  • Eggs
  • Unbleached All Purpose Flour
  • Baking Soda
  • Sea Salt
  • Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • Milk Chocolate M&Ms

We love making this for any holiday. They are perfectly festive thanks to the limited edition colors that M&Ms releases. These always hit the spot year round. For Valentines Day we use the cupid’s mix with Red, White and Pink. For the patriotic holiday like Fourth of July or Memorial Day, the Red, White, and Blue is perfect. There is the Halloween’s ghoul mix. Most importantly is the Christmas Red, White, and Green. These cookies are what we put out for Santa, wink wink 😉

Before you get started, make sure to leave the butter out to be softened. We find trying to make these cookies last minute and melting the butter ruins the consistency and shape. Also, make sure to give yourself at least 20 minutes to leave the batter in the fridge before baking them. Enjoy!

  • Put it in the fridge for 20 minutes while you preheat the oven to 350 Degrees Fahrenheit.
  • On a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicon mat, spoon about 1 Tbsp size of the batter spaced evenly. It does not have to be rounded, you will want space around them as they will flatten out. Add extra M&Ms on top if desired.
  • Bake for 9-10 minutes, 11 minutes if you like them a little more crispy like the hostess.
