Pear Lychee Martini

I must confess, this Pear Lychee Martini cocktail has captured the heart of the Hostess. It’s very refreshing and sweet. The main ingredient Lychee is mostly imported from Asia. Its not easy to find fresh Lychee in the US. Canned lychee is a great alternative, lucky for us there is Amazon.

Lychee is a very sweet fruit and adds the perfect garnish for this fun martini. The inspiration to recreate this comes from Din Tai Fung. Although their recipe is not easily available. This recreation is very close and even better as we get to modify it to our liking. We hope you enjoy it too.

The basic ingredients include Absolut Pear Vodka, Lychee Juice, fresh or Canned Lychee, Dry Vermouth and a tiny squeeze of lemon juice. Delicious and Refreshing. To top it off, garnish it with a bamboo pick and 2-3 lychees. To enhance the cocktail, use a muddler to pound the lychee in the shaker.

This cocktail will impress your guests. It is a great option for parties as you can make a large batch. Pour all the ingredients using the proper ratio into a pitcher give it a quick swirl. You can pour it into a shaker as needed. I highly suggest doing this a couple of days prior to the event so that the lychee flavor can really be infused.

Note, the cocktail is served with an Orchid Blossom at Din Tai Fung. If you are hosting a fancy dinner party or a formal event, then its worth adding it as a garnish. It can be found on Amazon by clicking here. However, for personal enjoyment or a more relaxed dinner party we suggest skipping it.

Notes

  • If you are making this for a party, pour all the ingredients using the proper ratio into a pitcher give it a quick swirl then pour into shaker as needed. I highly suggest doing this a couple of days prior to the event so that the lychee flavor can really be infused.
  • Fresh Lychee if available would be preferred. Otherwise you can purchase Canned Lychee. The benefit of Canned Lychee is that it is already peeled and pitted for you.
